At this point most of you should have received your essays via email. Contact me immediately if you have not. Remember that thought the grades are bound to be lower than one might have hoped for, another draft is due in class on Monday, October 1st. Rework the essays and you will find the grades rising. In addition, remember the new requirement: in addition to reworking the essay along the prescribed lines, you are required to include at least one quote from one of the readings in Seeing & Writing. This will mean a more significant Works Cited page, and we'll deal with that on Wednesday, though you should see a link to a helpful guide under important links on this page.
In addition, on Monday I want every draft of this essay stapled together with the newest on top. That is, the two three-page versions, the version due last Friday, and the new final version. All of these should be stapled together, with the latest version on the top.
Bring a copy of this essay to class on Wednesday, where we will work on it more. Be patient, we're almost finished spending class time on this essay.
